Process Engineer

We are looking for a Process Engineer to join our head office in Stockholm.

In this role, you will play a key role in the design and development of modular pharmaceutical and biotech manufacturing facilities. You will work closely with our global engineering teams—including our fabrication centre in Shanghai—and contribute to concept development, process design, and engineering deliverables for world-leading pharma and biotech clients.

You will drive and support design studies, develop process flows, size equipment, and ensure that all solutions comply with cGMP, regulatory standards, and client requirements. The role includes collaboration with multiple engineering disciplines, participation in client meetings, and involvement throughout the full design lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Create process and clean utility flow diagrams (PFDs), production schedule, capacity calculations, mass balances and equipment specifications (URS)
• Layout development based on the requested manufacturing process and input from process equipment vendors
• Ensure compliance with cGMP, regulatory guidelines, and industry standards
• Work cross-functionally with internal engineering teams and external partners
• Support modular facility design by integrating process requirements with architectural, structural, plumbing, HVAC, electrical and automation disciplines
• Participate in client workshops, reviews, and technical discussions
• Contribute to improving design methods, tools, and internal best practices

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Engineering, or related field
• Documented experience in pharmaceutical or biotech process engineering is required
• Solid understanding of cGMP, process, clean utilities, and regulatory expectations
• Experience with process design deliverables (PFDs, capacity calculations, equipment sizing, URS etc.)
• Detail-oriented, structured, and comfortable working with documentation and quality systems
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
• Fluent in Swedish and English is a requirement (other languages are beneficial)
